Make disciples. Plant churches. Reach the unreached.

The people of Eastern Turkey are interested in the Gospel. This is what we do to serve them and Christ.

Follow up

Follow-up ministry

Our churches are small and widely dispersed, but we get hundreds and hundreds of requests each month from people wanting to know more about Christianity.

  • Some brothers and sisters have been given the specific task of calling and visiting people all around our region.
  • Many of our members give their time to answer the calls and messages that come in.
  • When many contacts come from one province, it may be time to start a church there.

Church planting

Planting churches where there are none

Follow-up contacts show us where the need is. From there, the mother church in Van trains local families and sends them out to plant new churches.

  1. Requests come in from all over the region. Sometimes we see a pattern of many follow-up contacts from one particular province.

  2. When that happens, we prayerfully consider whether it is time to start a church in that province.

  3. The mother church identifies leadership potential in our congregation and trains the people God is calling.

  4. Called families are sent to plant new churches in areas with active follow-up teams, just as we sent our first family to Kars in 2018.

The church is Christ’s body on earth and a powerful symbol that all peoples, including Turks and Kurds, are called to God’s love in Jesus.

Facilitating Farsi ministry

As our Turkish-speaking ministry grows, so has our ability to reach others.

One of the greatest needs is for Farsi speakers.

Many Iranians come to Van for shopping, and Afghans often cross our borders seeking refuge.

Why we exist

Three commitments shape the life of every church in the network.

Community

Community is important for everyone, but for the persecuted it is non-negotiable. We live faith together.

Family

Almost every new believer faces some conflict with their family for choosing Christ. When that family pressures them to abandon Christ, their new spiritual family is ready to offer physical and spiritual support.

Discipleship

Discipleship is done in community. The Word of God is our ultimate guide, and we root our lives in it together in small groups. We hold baptism classes and next steps classes, join nationwide leadership training events, and make sure our people learn from a plurality of leaders.
