1. Who we are

Van Church Network (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a brand operated by a foundation established in Türkiye. It is not a registered charity or legal entity in the United States.

2. What our forms collect

The website has three kinds of form. You only share what you type into them.

• Newsletter sign-up, at the bottom of every page: your email address.
• Prayer updates sign-up, on the Get Involved page: your email address.
• Visit inquiry, on the Get Involved page: your first and last name, your email address, and whether you are coming alone, as a couple or family, or as a church group. You can also add your church or organization and a message.

We don’t ask for phone numbers, postal addresses, payment details or sensitive personal information, and we don’t create user accounts.

3. How the forms work today

The forms don’t send anything to us by themselves. When you press the button, the form opens your own email app with a message to info@vanchurchnetwork.org, filled in with what you typed. Nothing reaches us unless you send that email. If you close it without sending, we receive nothing.

The website itself doesn’t store what you type. Once you send the email, it reaches our mailbox like any other email you write to us.

4. How we use your information

We use what you send us only to:

• send you the newsletter or prayer updates you asked for
• reply to your visit inquiry and plan a visit with you

We use it because you chose to send it to us. You can change your mind at any time: write to info@vanchurchnetwork.org and we will stop sending you emails.

We don’t sell, rent or trade your personal data.

5. When you visit the website

The website uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising trackers. Its fonts and images are served from our own website, not from other companies.

Like any website, our hosting provider receives technical information when you load a page, such as your IP address and browser type. It uses this to deliver the website and protect it from abuse.

6. Giving

We don’t take payments on this website. The online giving links take you to the website of the Reformed Church in America (RCA), a partner organization based in the United States. Anything you enter there is handled by the RCA under its own privacy policy. Gifts by check go to the RCA, and bank transfers go through your bank.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your email address for as long as you want to receive our emails. We keep visit inquiries for as long as we need them to plan and follow up on your visit. We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss and misuse.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you
• correct it if it is wrong
• delete it
• stop sending you emails

9. Children

Our website is not meant for children under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page and update the date at the top. We will update it when our forms are connected to a mailing or form service.

Transfers abroad. We use service providers located outside Türkiye for hosting, email delivery and similar technical services. Personal data you send through our forms (your name, email address and message) may therefore be transferred to servers abroad to provide these services and in accordance with Article 9 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698.
